After sorting my box of loops and determining I had a lot of light and dark grey, I decided to make a rug. The texture feels amazing.

I have loved sorting these with friends, weaving patterns for my books and dyeing them. They have great texture and allow me to provide plenty of materials for students. Most recently, I have woven potholders for out local food pantry! I make potholders, rugs, chair mats and baskets! They were featured in my book "Design &Texture!"
I found out about these loops a little over a year ago. I live on the NW side of Charlotte,NC. Once I found out that y’all
We’re in Hickory,NC, just a hop, skip, and a jump away… I called and went and picked them up. The gentleman brought out a 47 pound box of loops/clips and put them in my car. As I was waiting box my box to come from somewhere in the back, I was able to see where my favorite (addiction) socks come from and how they are made(from the front door) and oh what fun it was. I made all the care givers in the memory care facility, that love and care for my Mama ones for Christmas! They LOVED them. I did them on the 10 inch loom. Thank you so very much.
I was finally able to get a box of sock remnant loops. I immediately sorted it when I opened it. It was so much fun. I got a good mix of large and small loops and a significant variety of colors. The loops add so much character to potholder projects. These are a little thicker and rougher than Friendly loops. I’ve tried a variety of options and I find it is ideal to use a mix of Solmate and Friendly in one potholder. Otherwise the potholder is a little stiff if I only use Solmate loops. Overall, I’m still thrilled with my purchase. This is an incredible value.
Managed to get one box of loops several months ago, and haven’t been able to get anymore since. They are always out of stock when I check for loops. But if you do get lucky, you are in for a treat! I received a box full of gorgeous colors like teal, rust, and some wonderful variegated pinks. Just the most fun ever!
