Our socks will shrink a little in their first washing; however, they are knit on the larger size to accommodate this and do stretch out once worn again. We recommend you machine wash your socks on gentle. No bleach. Dry on cool.For a more eco-friendly cleaning process, we recommend you hand-wash your socks and air-dry them.

From when I first started buying Solemate socks to now, I personally think that the sock has improved greatly. The first couple of socks that I bought were bulky but warm And I only use them as a slipper in the house, no complaints. Very well inside and out, but there were a lot of strings on the inside where the reinforcements were. The most recent purchases of the Cayenne and the umami showed a noticeable improvement in the lack of bulkiness, the fibers are softer and there are less loose strings on the inside where reinforcements start and begin. I prefer these socks over mukluks, in fact, I have done away with all my mukluks and will remain a loyal Solemate purchaser.
I own at least 30 pairs of Solmate, socks, and have given over 30 pairs as gifts, I think that says it all! I’ve been buying them for years and will continue to do so! They are very high-quality and really hold up, so comfortable, beautiful, and unique! I love everything this company stands for.
